A demo restaurant's real roster

An illegal shift never makes it onto the roster

Less than 11 hours of rest, an eighth working day in a row or a week without a day off: the change stops when you save, and you see which rule it breaks. Only the owner can make an exception as emergency work, and it leaves a record.

Three-week hours balanced automatically

Everyone's hours for the three-week period, with overruns and missing hours, are visible at all times. Hours for monthly-paid employees are spread evenly as the agreement requires. No reconciling at month end.

A phone is all an employee needs

The manager plans in the browser, and the roster appears on the employee's phone right away.

From net pay to roster

An employee wants 1 800 euros net this month? Enter the amount, and Plana works out how many shifts are needed and on which days. Tax card and Sunday supplements are included.

You read the roster in Finnish, and your Chinese-speaking kitchen reads it in their own language. The roster, clock-ins and confirmations are one and the same, and every change goes into the same log.

You don't need to know the collective agreement by heart. Every change is checked against it.

Rest periods, consecutive working days, the three-week period limit and the Sunday supplement are built into Plana from the text of MaRa TES 2025. When you make a roster change that would break a rule, Plana stops it and tells you which clause is involved.

At 23:00 Laura's evening shift ends. Dragging her Tuesday shift to 9:00 leaves only 10 hours of rest, less than 11, so Plana refuses to save it; back at 12:00 she rests 13 hours. One click on Solve shifts fills the demo restaurant's week: 42 shifts, 0 open, 0 violations. Across the three-week period 7.9.–27.9. everyone's hours stay in view. Li wants more hours and gets 143, crossing the 112.5, 120 and 138-hour TES steps. His September payslip: monthly salary €2,500, additional work 7.5 h €117.90, overtime 50 % 18 h €424.44, overtime 100 % 5 h €157.20, Sunday and evening supplements €269.20, gross €3,468.74, net €2,421.53 (sample tax card 22 %).
