New: auto-schedule right on the planning board
In short
- Auto-schedule now starts from the planning board, no longer from a separate page.
- Suggestions appear as light cards, and their effect shows in the day headers and in the period hours before you accept them.
- Staffing needs are saved per restaurant under Needs and goals (Tarpeet ja tavoitteet).
- When the same employee works in two restaurants of the same employer, the period's working days and hours are added together.
The new flow on the planning board
The path is Plan → Planning help → Auto-schedule. The calculation takes at most about 2 minutes, after which the suggestions appear on the board as light cards. You can remove or restore a card by tapping it.
- Start Auto-schedule.
- Wait for the calculation to finish.
- Remove or restore suggestions by tapping them.
- Choose Move to draft.
- The TES check runs through the draft, and after that the roster can be published.
Suggestions are counted in the day headers and in each employee's period hours (+h). So you see the effect before a single shift is in the draft.
Staffing needs are saved per restaurant
How many cooks and servers you need at opening, at lunch and at closing is saved per restaurant under Needs and goals. The opening and closing needs mean how many people are on shift at exactly that moment.
Several locations
The situation where the limit comes into play: the same employee works shifts in two restaurants of the same employer. Under MaRa TES 8 § 1, a kolmiviikkoisjakso (the three-week period) has at most 15 working days. Now the period's working days and hours are added together across all published rosters when the TES limits are checked.
